About the artist

As a freshman in highschool, Kristina's interest in film started when she enrolled in her school's broadcasting program. She started making music videos, documentaries, recording talk shows and learning programs like final cut pro and photoshop. After highschool she studied at College of DuPage and became an avid social activist in the animal rights and black and brown communities. From documenting at slaughterhouses and protests, to shooting graduation photos, K-ROD shoots a wide variety of genres in the photo and video world. Today she works full time as an independent contractor and is the lead photographer with KNVS House. She has worked with artists like Twista and Hannibal Buress and travels the world for her craft. From her humble beginnings, she has grown into an extremely ambitious woman who wishes to inspire people through visual storytelling the same way she was inspired to peruse her career.

I truly enjoy highlighting people, places, and things beautifully and invoking emotions from my audience. I wish to inspire people through visual storytelling the same way I was inspired to kickstart my career.

I strive to create high quality content not only for my clients but for my personal work. I take pride in it and I refuse to put my name on something I feel isn't a reflection of my capabilities.

“BEING ABLE TO BOOST SOMEONES CONFIDENCE IS ONE OF THE BEST FEELINGS. NOT ONLY CAN I TAKE A PICTURE OR RECORD A VIDEO, BUT I CAN CHANGE PEOPLES PERSPECTIVES ON THEMSELVES AND THE WORLD.”
